Botswana: Wildlife Photography in the Okavango Delta

For the past few years, I kept returning to a very special place: Botswana’s Okavango delta. It’s one of the world’s biggest and most spectacular wetlands where the waters from the Angolan highlands meet the Kalahari desert.

A top-rated safari destination, places like the Chobe river, Savuti, Khwai, and Moremi guarantee extraordinary wildlife encounters. The icons of Africa are all there: lion and leopard, the endangered wild dogs, buffalo and tsessebe, roan, sable and kudu, as well as a myriad of bird species. Not to mention a great variety of photogenic landscapes, unique experiences like traveling the floodplain channels in a mokoro, and some of the finest tented camps, lodges, and mobile camping there is.

I have had the pleasure to lead several photo trips to this unique place, and I will again as soon as possible. Stay tuned for trip dates!
