Sandra Petrowitz

Being a journalist by trade, I am a traveller and photographer by passion. I have been working as a newspaper and magazine journalist and editor in Germany for two decades, over time specialising in nature, travel, environmental and photography-related topics. My articles and images have been published in books, magazines, newspapers and on the web; my photos appear in ads and calendars as well.

Extensive journeys have led me from the Sahara to the Himalayas and from Patagonia to the Okavango Delta. As I love to share my knowledge and enthusiasm, I conduct travel and nature photography workshops and lead dedicated photo trips to the Arctic and Antarctica, but also to places like Jordan, Botswana, and Finland. In addition, I frequently work as a guide, photo guide and lecturer on board small expedition cruise ships in the polar regions – the polar bug is as contagious as the travel bug.
